How to Get There

Welcome to the GR-I-CE 2026. Our conference venue is conveniently located near the center of Athens, at the “Eugenides Foundation”, providing a comfortable and accessible space for our attendees. 

Eugenides Foundation a historical institution founded in 1954 in Greece, with the purpose of contributing to the education of young people in the scientific and technical fields.

The Conference will be physically and virtually. Scientific presentation as well as the B2B meetings will be available both physically and virtually and all presentations will be online for all Conference participants.

The Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum are among the most important cultural landmarks in Greece and offer a unique insight into ancient Greek civilization.

The archaeological site of the Acropolis is located within walking distance (approx. 5–10 minutes) from the Acropolis Museum and can be visited independently.

  1. National Archaeological Museum

The National Archaeological Museum is the largest archaeological museum in Greece and houses exceptional artifacts from prehistoric antiquity to late antiquity.

  1. Cape Sounion & the Temple of Poseidon

Cape Sounion, located on the southern coast of Attica, is famous for the Temple of Poseidon and its spectacular views over the Aegean Sea, especially at sunset.

Access:

  • Intercity buses operated by KTEL Attikis ( http://ktelattikis.gr/en/sounion )
  • Several travel agencies in Athens offer organized excursions to Cape Sounion
  • Alternative option: You may also opt for a private transfer

Transportation from Eugenides Foundation

To visit the Acropolis & Acropolis Museum, the National Archaeological Museum, or Cape Sounion, you first need to reach the Syggrou-Fix transport hub:

1.Exit the Eugenides Foundation and head to the “Evgenideio” bus stop on Syggrou Avenue (direction: Athens/Center).

2.Take bus 550 or B2.

3.Get off at the “Syggrou-Fix” stop (approx. 10-15 minutes).

From Syggrou-Fix, you have two options:

For the Metro (Red Line 2):

  • Enter the Syggrou-Fix Metro Station and follow the direction “Anthoupoli”.
  • Get off at “Acropoli” (1 stop) for the Acropolis & Museum.
  • Get off at “Omonia” (3 stops) for the National Archaeological Museum.
 

For Cape Sounion (KTEL Bus):

  • Stay at the same bus stop on Syggrou Avenue and wait for the KTEL Attikis bus marked “SOUNION”.

        Tip: Prefer the “Coastal Route” (Sounion via Coast) for a scenic view.
